Rules for Photography Competition
  • Online entries are invited under two categories:
    • Rural Rajasthan
    • Joys of Childhood
  • The contestants must register themselves on the DCR website through a digital form
  • The contestants should be residents of in Rajasthan (self-declaration to be given in registration form)
  • There will be no age limit for participation
  • Photos submitted must be at least 1200 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 1800 pixels on the longer side, the longer side can be of 3600 pixels in case of panorama images.
  • Images should be no larger than 3 MB and must be in JPEG format.
  • Photo should be the original work of the contestant and the contestant should have copyright over the submitted photograph.
  • One contestant can submit a maximum of TWO entries in each category.
  • Each image submitted should be captioned.
  • A separate form should be submitted for each category
  • All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image
  • Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s). Manipulated or illusion created images will not be eligible for the contest
  • Photos should not portray or include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and /or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India
  • Photos that have won awards in any previous state or national level contests, should not be submitted
Screening for Photography Competition:
  • A Screening Committee will shortlist 20 entries in each category; these will be printed and displayed in a Photography Exhibition.
  • Screening will be conducted after 8th January 2023, the date of closing entries.
  • Shortlisting will be completed by 15th January 2023
  • The photographers of selected entries will be informed on mail / Whatsapp / phone and asked to send full resolution photos by 25th January. The ownership of the printed photograph (only one printed photograph) will vest in the organiser who can use /sell that photograph for promoting the organisation, whereas all other rights over the image will continuously vest in the photographer.
